Carbon footprint is a measure of how much carbon dioxide we are contributing to the carbon dioxide level in the environment To help in the mitigation of global warming, we must reduce our carbon footprints. There are simple ways that we can do to reduce our carbon footprints:
Start from home
Make sure that you are using energy-efficient light bulbs to reduce your carbon footprints as well as your electric bill. Use appliances with Energy Star labels. These appliances were certified energy-efficient by the government; thus they contribute in energy conservation. Don't forget to pull the plugs of your appliances even if they are turned off because they still consume small amount of electricity. Insulate your house properly and use a thermostat to regulate the temperature inside your house. In this way, you air conditioning unit or heater will use lesser amount of energy.
