A business expansion request in America has left many asking questions surrounding the affects of a bike path.
The city council tabled a request for an easement for city owned property at Front and High Forest streets that would allow for a $3.5 million expansion for Modern Transport.
Modern Transport owner Steve Kohner told council members that allowing the easement would mean added tax revenue for the city and a $3.5 million expansion of his facilities.
Bike Path Battle
Whilst Kohner requested an easement for his business expansion from the city, the city has been trying to work out an easement across his property to allow for a riverfront bike trail to run along the earthen dike.
However, Kohen's insurance agency has stated that a bike path would increase insurance costs and liability costs.
